An ambitious, well‐established regional firm with a long history and modern outlook is seeking an experienced Court of Protection solicitor to join its Surrey office. The firm combines technical excellence with a client‐focused, people‐centred approach and invests in technology to enhance service delivery.

The role

  • Manage a complex Court of Protection caseload including deputyship applications, property and financial affairs matters, clients lacking capacity, statutory reporting, and contested applications.
  • Provide strategic, empathetic advice to vulnerable clients and their families; draft pleadings and statutory documents.
  • Liaise with multi‐disciplinary professionals and supervise junior colleagues.

About you

  • Qualified solicitor with 6+ years PQE in Court of Protection and mental capacity work.
  • Proven case management and advocacy experience.
  • Excellent drafting, communication and client‐care skills.
  • Comfortable working to deadlines, handling sensitive matters, and developing referral sources.
  • Confident with technology and new systems.
