Our longstanding client, a fast growing and highly successful platform firm is aggressively looking to further expand their London office and offers the perfect blend of the advantages of a traditional law firm in terms of collaboration, brand name, infrastructure with significantly different earning potential and autonomy.

They are interested in candidates who typically have at least 8 PQE, are confident of bringing a client following and are looking for the partner badge and opportunity to build these clients with their support and infrastructure. This opportunity is very different to setting up your own practice beyond the firm providing back-office support.

  • Key differences include:
    • Strong brand name and scale which gives clients confidence to instruct and allows you to provide a full service one stop shop to clients
    • Collaboration - around 30% of the revenue that partners generate is from internal referrals and the financial reward system encourages this behaviour of cross-referrals
    • High-quality colleagues from a wide range of global and boutique firms
    • All practice areas are of interest, and the firm is full service.

Key attractions:

  • Significant earning potential
  • Freedom to build your own business and run how you see fit
  • Easier to recruit associates because of the wider firm's brand name and profile

Successful candidate:

  • Typically, at least 8 PQE
  • Client following - at least 150k and confident of getting to 250k+ (the firm has a wide range of practice sizes from c250k to 5m+)
  • No base salary so you will need to have sufficient cash reserves in the short time whilst you get up to speed
