A well established regional law firm is seeking a Litigation Solicitor with 5+ years' post qualification experience to join its busy Civil Litigation department in Somerset. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a senior role, lead a valued Personal Injury practice, and progress toward Partnership within a supportive and collaborative environment.
The Role
- Managing a varied Civil Litigation caseload while leading the firm's Personal Injury offering, including:
- Handling a broad range of Personal Injury matters
- Managing a mixed Civil Litigation caseload
- Working knowledge of Contentious Probate and Debt Recovery (ideal but not essential)
- Attending and representing clients at court hearings
- Supervising and guiding junior lawyers and support staff
- Growing and promoting the Personal Injury practice
- Maintaining high professional standards and compliance
This is primarily an office based role, with the option to work from home one day per week after probation. Some flexibility may be considered for the right candidate.
Candidate Requirements
- 5+ years PQE in Litigation, including proven Personal Injury experience
- Strong technical ability across a range of civil litigation matters
- Confidence attending court hearings
- Experience supervising junior team members
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- A proactive, organised and commercially aware approach
- Ambition to progress toward Partnership
- Consideration may also be given to candidates with slightly less PQE but extensive Personal Injury expertise
