A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Employment Law Solicitor to take the next step in their career at a respected multi‑office practice with an excellent reputation across the Dorset and Somerset market, known for its supportive culture and strong focus on professional development.
This full‑time position is based in either the Dorchester or Poole office. You will join a well‑established Corporate & Commercial team, working alongside another Employment Law specialist and managing a broad and stimulating caseload with a high degree of autonomy.
Key Responsibilities- Advising on the full spectrum of employment law matters
- Drafting employment contracts, policies and staff handbooks
- Handling disputes including unfair dismissal, discrimination and general employer/employee issues
- Providing HR focused advisory support on disciplinaries, grievances and redundancies
- Advising on employment law aspects of corporate transactions, including HR/employee due diligence and TUPE
- Delivering employment law training to clients
- Contributing to the wider team and supporting junior colleagues where required
- 5+ years PQE with strong technical expertise in Employment Law
- Confident in managing a varied caseload and providing clear, pragmatic advice
- Solid understanding of the Employment Tribunal process
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers or support staff is highly desirable
