Chadwick Nott are pleased to be assisting a progressive and purpose-led law firm in their search for a Data Protection Solicitor or FCILEX (Associate or Senior Associate level) to join their highly regarded IPDP team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on cutting-edge matters with clients across tech, creative industries, education, healthcare, and the public sector.
The Role
- Providing expert advice on a wide range of data protection and privacy issues, including:
- Advising on UK GDPR, DPA 2018, PECR and related legislation
- Drafting and reviewing privacy policies, DPIAs, and data processing agreements
- Supporting clients with audits, gap analyses, and compliance programmes
- Advising on data breaches and incident response
- Working on commercial matters involving data and technology
- Building strong client relationships and contributing to business development
- Supervising and mentoring junior team members (Senior Associate level)
You will be part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team that values innovation, knowledge sharing, and a practical, commercial approach to client service.
About You
- 5+ years' PQE in data protection/privacy law
- A PGCert, PGDip or equivalent specialist qualification in Data Protection
- Strong knowledge of UK and EU data protection legislation and ICO guidance
- Experience advising businesses on data governance, risk, and compliance
- Excellent drafting, analytical and communication skills
- A proactive, commercial mindset and enthusiasm for client-facing work
- A collaborative and supportive approach to teamwork
- Previous experience in a technology/IP/data-focused environment (desirable)
