Overview
In this role you will lead contentious construction matters for a Top 50 City law firm, handling UK and international disputes across adjudications, mediation and arbitration. You will work within a growing team focused on strategic expansion and mentoring, contributing to high-profile cases with significant investment from the board. You drive delivery on delays, disruption, defects, and payment disputes while shaping the practice’s development and client service. Responsibilities
- manage UK and international contentious construction disputes (adjudications, mediation, arbitration)
- handle delays and disruption, defects, payment disputes, and professional negligence issues
- contribute to strategic growth and scaling of the construction practice
- collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership
- provide mentoring and support to more junior lawyers
Key requirements
- 5+ PQE
- E&W qualified
- experience in a UK law firm within a dedicated construction team
