The Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a national law firm for a litigation professional to join their Contract Resolution Group within the Civil Litigation Division. You will manage a varied caseload of civil and commercial litigation matters (excluding personal injury), acting for both Claimants and Defendants. Work includes commercial and consumer contract disputes, misrepresentation, professional negligence and construction matters. Caseloads come from both Legal Expenses Insurance and private clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a caseload of fast, intermediate and multi‑track litigation files
- Advising clients by phone and in person
- Progressing matters using the case management system
- Billing and invoicing
Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Experience advising individuals and commercial clients on contract‑based disputes
- Ability to manage your own caseload
- Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills
- Client‑focused with excellent communication
- Confident using case management systems
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
Desirable:
- Experience working with insurance‑funded clients
Qualifications
- Qualified Solicitor (LLB/CILEX route), or FCILEx, or Equivalent experience
