A well established and forward thinking Gloucestershire law firm is seeking an exceptional senior corporate/commercial lawyer to lead its Company Commercial department. This is a rare opportunity to step into a strategic leadership role within a respected regional practice. The Role
- You will take responsibility for leading and developing the Company Commercial department while managing a high quality caseload of complex corporate and commercial matters, including:
- Mergers and acquisitions
- Shareholder agreements
- Commercial contracts
- Corporate restructuring
- Joint ventures and governance matters
- Advising SMEs, owner managed businesses, and high value commercial clients
- Driving departmental strategy and operational excellence
- Representing the firm at networking and business development events
- Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers and support staff
Candidate Requirements
- This role is suited to a senior legal professional with:
- 5+ years PQE in corporate or commercial law
- A proven track record in business development and client relationship management
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers
- Strong strategic thinking and leadership capability
- Excellent technical, drafting, and advisory skills
