My client is one of the world's leading international firms who are looking to recruit a Solicitor with 3+ PQE to join their global team, working on a remote basis in the UK. As a Funds Solicitor, you will play a crucial role in providing support in the area of commercial contracts, corporate law and regulatory matters related to investment funds clients. Experience in Funds and/or Regulatory law is preferred, but high calibre candidates with experience in a corporate/commercial firm who are willing to adapt and build up their knowledge and experience in a new legal area will also be considered.
The team provides legal advice and support on a wide range of funds-related matters to major asset management clients including implementation of complex restructurings, cross-jurisdictional regulatory projects, investment due diligence and day-to-day operational support. They regularly deal with a broad range of fund structures including private equity and hedge funds.
Responsibilities:
- You will conduct fee earning work directly for clients as well as supervising junior members of the team.
- Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of relevant areas of law, providing technical excellence in relation to one (or more) of the specialist areas of the corporate practice.
- Working with legal technology tools appropriate to the relevant matter (e.g. artificial intelligence tools for DD) and keeping up to date with technological advances.
- Assisting with preparing pitch documents and attending client presentations.
About you:
- 3+ years experience as a Solicitor, gained in a law firm or in-house legal department.
- Particular specialism within Corporate, Funds and/or Financial Services Regulatory.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and legal drafting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
You must be UK based and must live at least 100 miles away from London.
