Family Lawyer (4+ PQE) - North Devon
We are seeking an experienced Family Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join a highly regarded Legal 500‑ranked, multi‑office regional law firm with an excellent reputation across the South West.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and successful Private Family team undertaking high‑quality work for a broad client base.
The role offers a strong emphasis on matrimonial finance matters, alongside a varied caseload of private family work.
- Role
- Managing a varied caseload of private family law matters including divorce, separation, cohabitation disputes and private children matters.
- Advising clients on financial remedy proceedings, including complex, high‑value and multi‑asset cases.
- Handling pre and post‑nuptial agreements and broader relationship breakdown matters.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships through exceptional client care.
- Supervising and supporting junior members of the team where appropriate.
- Playing an active role in the continued growth and profile of the Family department.
- Keeping up to date with developments in Family Law and contributing to the team’s ongoing success.
- Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 4+ years' PQE in Family Law.
- Strong experience handling private family matters, particularly financial remedy work.
- Experience advising on children matters would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building skills. Able to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision.
- A genuine passion for delivering outstanding client service.
- Keen to be involved in business development and the future growth of the department.
