Family Law Associate – Plymouth

This Legal 500 ranked firm are on the lookout for a compassionate, confident Family Law Solicitor to join their growing team in Plymouth.

About the Role
You\’ll work with individuals navigating some of life\’s most sensitive challenges – divorce, separation, child arrangements, and complex financial settlements. From high-net-worth clients to working parents, your advice will be strategic, empathetic, and focused on practical results.

You\’ll handle your own caseload from start to finish, including:

  • Divorce and separation matters
  • High-value financial remedy and asset division
  • Child arrangements and private law children disputes
  • Cohabitation issues and nuptial agreements
  • Domestic abuse cases and protective injunctions

My client are particularly keen to hear from those with experience in complex financial cases involving business assets, pensions, and property portfolios. Advocacy experience is essential, and confidence in ADR or negotiation settings will set you apart.

What We\’re Looking For

  • A qualified Family Solicitor (ideally at Associate level)
  • Strong experience in finances and private law children matters
  • A steady, strategic approach paired with emotional intelligence
  • Proven ability to run files independently while being a team player
  • An interest in mentoring junior lawyers and supporting team development
