The Role

  • Advise estates, farmers, institutional landowners and rural businesses.
  • Work across:
    • Agricultural tenancies and estate management.
    • Rural land sales, acquisitions and development.
    • Renewable energy and diversification projects.
    • Strategic land transactions (options, promotion agreements, overage).
  • Support on complex transactions alongside senior lawyers.
  • Supervise junior team members.
  • Play an active role in business development and sector networking.

Candidate Requirements

  • Be a qualified solicitor with strong real estate experience (rural exposure helpful but not essential).
  • Have solid technical ability across property transactions.
  • Be confident managing your own matters and advising clients directly.
  • Demonstrate strong drafting and commercial awareness.
  • Be interested in the rural sector and its evolving landscape.
  • Have the ability or desire to mentor junior lawyers.
  • Be proactive, personable and commercially minded.
