A leading UK law firm is seeking a Head of Knowledge & Innovation to drive its strategic approach to knowledge, AI and technology. This newly created role offers the opportunity to shape firm wide innovation, lead a high performing team, and enhance the delivery of client focused legal services.
The Role
- Lead the Knowledge & Information Services function and play a central role in transforming how the firm leverages knowledge, technology and AI.
- Responsibilities include:
- Leading, developing and growing the Knowledge & Information Services team
- Establishing firm wide governance, standards and policies for knowledge content and systems
- Driving adoption of AI, legal technology and data enabled service delivery
- Fostering a culture of curiosity, collaboration and knowledge sharing
- Managing the Knowledge & Innovation budget and aligning investment to strategic priorities
- Overseeing supplier and vendor relationships to ensure quality and value
- Working closely with Business Services leaders to deliver integrated, practice aligned support
- Supporting the firm's strategic growth ambitions and enhancing client experience
Candidate Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years' PQE, or equivalent senior level experience in knowledge management or innovation
- Experience within a Top 100 law firm or comparable professional services environment
- Deep understanding of legal knowledge management, including content, culture, technology and governance
- Strong awareness of legal technology, AI and data driven service delivery
- Proven experience leading teams and delivering complex change programmes
- Commercial mindset with the ability to translate strategy into high impact outcomes
- Excellent influencing, communication and stakeholder management skills
