A fantastic opportunity for a Land & Development Solicitor with ideally 5+ years' post‑qualification experience (slightly less considered) to join a well‑established Land & Development team in Wiltshire. This role offers the chance to manage a varied caseload, contribute to the growth of the department, and work within a supportive, forward‑thinking environment.
The Role
- You’ll be responsible for managing a diverse caseload of land and development matters, including:
- Site acquisitions and finance arrangements
- Option agreements, promotion agreements, and overage deeds
- Agricultural property work (if of interest)
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
- Supervising a two‑year qualified solicitor within the team
- Supporting business development through networking and marketing activities
- Raising the profile of the Land & Development Department
Candidate Requirements
- Experience in land & development work
- Ideally 5+ years PQE (less considered)
- Strong technical and drafting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Confidence in managing matters independently and supervising junior colleagues
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Motivation, organisation, and a proactive mindset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal IT systems
- Full UK driving licence and own transport
- Professional presentation and flexibility in approach
