A well established and award winning regional law firm is seeking an experienced Family Lawyer with a minimum of 5 years' post qualification experience to join its growing Family Law team in Wiltshire. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a key role within a supportive, modern, and ambitious practice.

The Role

  • Managing a full and varied caseload of private family law matters, including:
  • Divorce and dissolution proceedings
  • Financial remedy matters
  • Private law children matters (all areas)
  • Pre and post nuptial agreements
  • Separation agreements
  • Cohabitation agreements
  • Non molestation and occupation order applications
  • Providing strategic, practical, client focused advice from instruction to conclusion
  • Drafting pleadings, agreements, and complex court documents
  • Conducting advocacy where appropriate
  • Negotiating settlements and utilising non court dispute resolution
  • Ensuring high standards of compliance, file management, and client care
  • Building and maintaining strong professional relationships with clients, counsel, and other professionals
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members where required
  • Contributing to the ongoing development and growth of the family team
  • Candidate Requirements

    • Qualified solicitor or legal executive with at least 5 years PQE
    • Comprehensive experience across all areas of private family law
    • Ability to manage a complex and sensitive caseload with minimal supervision
    • Strong technical knowledge of family law and procedure
    • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills
    • Confident and compassionate communication with clients
    • Effective under pressure and able to meet deadlines
    • Solutions focused, client centred approach
    • Ideally a Resolution member, accredited mediator, or collaborative lawyer (desirable but not essential)
    • Supervisory experience (advantageous)
