Chadwick Nott is delighted to be working with a leading Welsh law firm in their search for an Employment Law Associate to join their highly respected Employment & Immigration team in Cardiff. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with one of the largest specialist teams in Wales, advising a diverse client base on complex and high-profile employment matters.
The Role
- Providing day-to-day employment law advice to employers and individuals
- Representing clients in employment tribunal litigation, including complex and sensitive disputes
- Supporting high-profile employment investigations as part of the firm’s Business Crime Investigations Unit
- Advising on board-level disputes and whistleblowing claims
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships across sectors
- Collaborating with colleagues across departments to deliver joined-up legal solutions
- Contributing to the development of junior team members through mentorship and support
- Travelling regularly to Cardiff and occasionally to London for client meetings and team collaboration
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 3 years PQE in employment law
- Strong experience in contentious employment matters and tribunal litigation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Commercial awareness and technical competence
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- A collaborative mindset and confidence to work independently
- Interest in mentoring and line management
- Welsh language skills (written and verbal) are desirable
