Chadwick Nott are pleased to be working with a leading national law firm, currently seeking an Employment Associate Lawyer to join their successful Cardiff office. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with solid experience in employment law to take the next step in their career.
The role involves managing a varied caseload and advising on complex employment matters, particularly those involving equality, discrimination, and tribunal work. You will be joining a collaborative and forward‑thinking team committed to delivering high‑quality legal services and client care.
The Role
You will manage your own caseload and provide expert advice across a broad range of employment law issues. Responsibilities include:
- Advising on equality and discrimination matters
- Representing clients in employment tribunals
- Managing redundancy and restructure processes
- Drafting and reviewing employment contracts and policies
- Advising on TUPE transfers and employment terminations
- Negotiating settlements and leading client meetings
- Providing strategic legal advice and support throughout cases
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified Solicitor with proven experience in employment law. While no specific PQE level is stated, candidates should be able to demonstrate:
- Experience handling employment tribunal cases and discrimination matters
- Knowledge of redundancy, TUPE, and contract law
- Confidence in managing client relationships and complex negotiations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach
- Competence in Microsoft Office and case management systems
Location & Working Arrangements
