Leading Midlands firm seeks a dedicated and motivated Duty Crime Solicitor to work on a broad range of criminal cases. Duties will include:
- Manage a varied caseload of criminal law matters, representing clients in Magistrates', Youth and Crown Courts
- Provide clear, expert legal advice to clients, ensuring they understand their rights and options
- Prepare case files, draft legal documents, and attend pre-trial hearings and trial proceedings
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, including barristers, investigators, and support staff
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, procedures, and best practices in criminal law
About you:
- At least 1 years' PQE
- Police Station Accreditation
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Ability to work on the Police Station out of hours rota
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to travel to different Court centres and Police Stations across Leicester
