A leading international law firm is seeking an Associate to join its highly regarded Insurance Disputes team in Exeter. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a collaborative, high performing environment, working on a broad range of domestic and international insurance matters with strong partner support and clear progression.

The Role

  • Advising on insurance coverage, interpretation issues and liability claims
  • Handling subrogation matters and personal injury claims (both Claimant and Defendant)
  • Representing clients through litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution
  • Advising on contractual issues relating to insurance disputes
  • Assisting with civil litigation matters where required
  • Taking client instructions, attending meetings and managing compliance procedures
  • Progressing cases through the litigation process and considering ADR options
  • Conducting legal research and preparing written advice
  • Participating in team marketing and profile raising initiatives
  • Ensuring files are managed in line with Lexcel procedures and client service standards
