A leading international law firm is seeking Real Estate or Planning Lawyers to join its growing in house legal resourcing team. This is a unique opportunity to work directly within major client organisations, gaining genuine in house experience while retaining the support, resources and training of a top tier firm. The team provides high calibre lawyers to work within clients' legal departments on a permanent or fixed term basis, offering flexibility, variety and exposure to a wide range of sectors.

The Role

You will be embedded within client legal teams, delivering practical, commercial advice across real estate and/or planning matters. Responsibilities include:

  • Advising on commercial property transactions, landlord and tenant matters and development projects
  • Supporting planning applications, appeals, inquiries and infrastructure related planning work
  • Working autonomously within client environments, integrating quickly and building strong stakeholder relationships
  • Strengthening client relationships and identifying opportunities for growth
  • Providing pragmatic, solutions focused advice aligned with business needs
  • Representing the firm within client teams while accessing full firm resources, know how and training

Candidate Requirements

This role is suited to Real Estate or Planning Lawyers with:

  • 3-8 years' PQE (England & Wales, Scotland or other common law jurisdiction)
  • Experience advising on commercial property and/or planning matters
  • Previous in house or secondment experience (desirable but not essential)
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence building trusted relationships quickly
  • A collaborative, curious mindset and ability to adapt to new environments
