The predicted salary is between 45000 - 60000 Β£ per year.

A strategic opportunity has arisen for an experienced residential conveyancer to join a busy and well-established Residential Property team in Plymouth. This key appointment will combine managing a high-quality caseload with providing experienced support to the Head of Department in supervising and developing members of the wider team. The role offers hybrid working, with the ability to work from home part of the week subject to training and business needs.

The Role

  • You will manage a broad and varied residential conveyancing caseload, including:
    • Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
    • Remortgages
    • Transfers of equity
    • New build purchases
    • Shared ownership matters
    • Full management of transactions from instruction through to completion and post-completion
  • You will also:
    • Provide expert legal advice on all aspects of residential property law
    • Conduct and oversee due diligence, including title review, searches, enquiries and contract documentation
    • Draft, review and negotiate contracts and supporting documents
    • Liaise effectively with clients, estate agents, lenders, developers, brokers and other solicitors
    • Ensure compliance with SRA requirements, AML regulations and lender panel obligations
    • Maintain accurate case management records and manage legal risk throughout the process
    • Deliver exceptional client service and maintain strong relationships
    • Meet departmental productivity, billing and financial targets

About You

  • You will have:
    • Minimum 5 years' PQE (or equivalent experience) as a Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or CILEX Lawyer with Advanced Practice Rights
    • Outstanding communication and client care skills
    • Strong time management and prioritisation abilities
    • Exceptional attention to detail and a meticulous approach to case management
    • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism
    • Confidence building relationships with colleagues, clients and external stakeholders
    • Ability to thrive under pressure and manage competing priorities
