An established and growing law firm is seeking a Senior Residential Property Solicitor to join its Residential Property team in Plymouth. This is a strategic appointment offering the opportunity to combine a high-quality caseload with a leadership role, supporting the Head of Residential Property in the supervision, development and success of the wider team.
The successful candidate will manage a diverse portfolio of residential conveyancing matters while playing an active role in mentoring colleagues, driving performance and contributing to the continued growth of the department.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a full caseload of residential conveyancing transactions, from instruction through to post-completion.
- Handling freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, new build transactions and shared ownership matters.
- Providing expert legal advice, undertaking due diligence and drafting and negotiating contracts and associated documentation.
- Supervising, mentoring and supporting junior team members while fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
- Building strong relationships with clients and referrers, contributing to business development and supporting departmental growth.
The ideal candidate will be a Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or CILEX Lawyer with at least 3 years' PQE (or equivalent experience) and a strong background in residential property law. They will possess excellent technical expertise, exceptional client care skills and the ability to manage complex matters efficiently.
