The Role
This is a great opportunity for a Family Solicitor or Legal Executive to join a thriving, friendly department handling a broad mix of family and matrimonial work. You'll be advising clients on matters including:
- Divorce and civil partnership dissolution
- Separation and cohabitation issues
- Financial settlements
- Children matters
- General family law advice
Key responsibilities include:
- Running and progressing your own day to day caseload
- Providing clear and empathetic legal advice
- Keeping up to date with legal developments
- Building relationships with clients, referrers and local networks
- Supporting the team with marketing and business development activity
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (or close to qualification)
- Experience in family law, ideally across a range of matters
- Experience with legal aid is helpful but not essential.
- Strong client care skills and a professional, approachable manner
- Ability to manage a busy caseload with accuracy and attention to detail
- Confident communicator who enjoys working as part of a team
- Organised, proactive and comfortable using modern case management systems
