Reference: HSJ921957220_1787836106Employment Lawyer - Full/Part time - ExeterOur esteemed client is looking to strengthen their well regarded Litigation team with the addition of an experienced Employment Lawyer based in their Exeter office. This role is full time, though part time applications will be considered for the right candidate.
The ideal lawyer will bring around 3-5 years' post qualification experience and the confidence to manage their own caseload independently. You'll handle a broad range of contentious and non contentious employment matters for both employers and employees, including: Unfair dismissal, wrongful dismissal and constructive dismissal claimsDiscrimination, harassment and whistleblowing mattersRedundancy processes and restructuring adviceDisciplinary and grievance proceduresSettlement agreements and exit negotiationsEmployment contracts, service agreements and staff handbooksTUPE advice and supportPolicy drafting and general HR advisory workA proactive approach to business development is essential, as the early stages of the role will focus heavily on generating new work, building relationships and developing fresh sources of instructions. Travel to other offices for client meetings and marketing events will form part of the role.
Whilst the core focus is employment law, applications from those with greater PQE are welcomed, particularly if you are open to developing skills in other areas of litigation or bring a strong track record in business development or an existing client following.
