Awdry Law is seeking an experienced Commercial Property Lawyer to join its well established Commercial Property team in Devizes. This is an excellent opportunity to manage a varied caseload within a dynamic, supportive and values driven firm committed to delivering exceptional client service.
The Role
- Commercial property sales and acquisitions
- Landlord and tenant matters, including leases, agreements for lease and ancillary documents
- Freehold and leasehold transactions
- Property finance matters acting for lenders or borrowers
- Property aspects of corporate transactions, including due diligence and contract amendments
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
- Delivering consistently high levels of service and identifying opportunities for improved delivery
- Supporting the profile and reputation of the Commercial Property Department through networking and marketing
Candidate Requirements
- Approximately 3+ years' PQE in commercial property
- Strong drafting, reviewing and negotiation skills
- Experience with commercial leases, licences, rent deposit deeds and side letters
- Strong understanding of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, title issues, planning and environmental considerations
- Experience with SDLT, VAT and property due diligence processes
- Familiarity with case management systems and Land Registry requirements
- Excellent communication skills and confidence managing client expectations
- Ability to manage a varied caseload independently with strong organisational skills
- A proactive, adaptable and collaborative approach
- Experience contributing to business development and client growth
