A growing and forward thinking law firm is seeking a Corporate Lawyer with 3+ years PQE to join its expanding Corporate team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a broad range of high quality corporate and commercial matters, supporting individuals, partnerships and companies from initial instruction through to post completion.
The Role
- Deliver a high quality and effective range of corporate transactional services, including:
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements (partnership agreements, shareholders' agreements, agency contracts)
- Implementing changes to company constitutions and share structures
- Handling associated company secretarial tasks
- Drafting Terms & Conditions
- Managing share and asset sales and purchases
- Drafting debentures and handling directors' guarantees
- Managing commercial contracts
- Advising on franchise agreements and joint ventures
- Supporting company refinancing
- Providing clear, decisive and commercially focused advice
- Conducting legal research and staying up to date with legislative and case law developments
- Working collaboratively with colleagues on wider client projects
- Managing a varied caseload through to completion
- Building strong working relationships within the commercial team
- Supporting networking and business development initiatives
- Ensuring effective time management and maintaining well organised files
Candidate Requirements
- 3+ years PQE in corporate and/or commercial work
- Strong drafting, negotiation and analytical skills
- Experience managing a varied corporate caseload independently
- Excellent communication and client care abilities
- A proactive, commercially minded approach
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confidence working both independently and as part of a wider team
- An interest in business development and building long term client relationships
