Corporate & Commercial Senior / Associate Solicitor
Location: Stroud or Gloucester

We\’re looking for an experienced and commercially minded solicitor to lead and grow a busy Corporate & Commercial department within a well-established Gloucestershire-based law firm. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a senior role in a thriving practice with a strong client base across a wide range of sectors.

About the Role

You\’ll be working across a variety of complex and high-value matters, including:

  • Mergers and acquisitions
  • Corporate restructuring
  • Shareholder agreements and joint ventures
  • Commercial contracts
  • General company law and governance

As a senior member of the team, you\’ll also contribute to department strategy, mentor junior colleagues, and take an active lead in business development and client relationship management.

This is a genuine opportunity to shape the direction of a key practice area in a firm that values fresh ideas, commercial acumen, and a client-first approach.

What We\’re Looking For

  • Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 4-5 years\’ experience in corporate and commercial law
  • Proven track record advising on business sales, acquisitions, and complex commercial transactions
  • Strong working knowledge of the Companies Act 2006 and contract law
  • Comfortable drafting and negotiating detailed agreements and technical documents
  • Experience managing client relationships and winning new business
  • Leadership experience or ambition to lead a growing team
  • Organised, commercially aware, and confident under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset and high professional standards
