A highly regarded national commercial law firm is seeking a Construction Disputes Solicitor/Associate (1-5 PQE) to join its expanding contentious construction team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a nationally recognised practice, advising on high value, complex disputes for public and private sector clients across the UK.

The Role

  • Managing a varied and stimulating caseload of contentious construction matters, including:
    • Advising on final account and loss and expense claims
    • Handling significant defect disputes and PFI/PPP project issues
    • Acting on high value adjudications, litigation and alternative dispute resolution
    • Working with clients including local authorities, NHS Trusts, housing associations, developers, funders and contractors
    • Supporting senior lawyers on major national disputes and strategic advisory work
    • Drafting pleadings, correspondence and legal analysis with precision
    • Liaising directly with clients and external stakeholders
    • Contributing to a collaborative, national team with strong cross office integration

Candidate Requirements

  • 1-5 years PQE in construction disputes or commercial litigation with construction exposure
  • Strong drafting, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and handle a busy caseload
  • Confidence in liaising with clients and delivering clear, commercial advice
  • Ambition to develop expertise within a high performing national team
  • A proactive, organised and collaborative approach
  • Interest in progressing within a growing practice with excellent long term prospects

Flexible working arrangements are available, including part time options and no fixed office attendance requirements.
