An international law firm is seeking an experienced Conflicts Lawyer to join its Compliance & Risk function on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract. This is a key role supporting the firm through a period of transition as it moves towards a more centralised conflicts clearance model and implements a new Intapp Conflicts and Intake system.
You will be joining the Risk Legal Team and working closely with the New Business Intake (NBI) team to review and resolve complex conflict issues, advise fee‑earners, and help shape new policies and processes as the firm upgrades its systems.
The role
- Reviewing and analysing complex conflict reports
- Advising on conflict resolution strategies and recommended actions
- Working directly with fee‑earners to resolve conflicts promptly
- Advising on conflicts relating to lateral hires
- Identifying strategic conflicts across clients and workstreams
- Supporting the development and implementation of conflict management policies and procedures
- Creating training materials and delivering training to fee‑earners and staff
- Contributing to wider risk‑management initiatives within the Risk Legal Team
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory obligations, including SRA Standards and Regulations
Skills & experience
- Qualified lawyer status with around 2-4 years' PQE in conflicts resolution
- Strong understanding of professional rules and regulatory guidance
- Experience with US conflicts rules (helpful but not essential)
- Familiarity with Intapp Conflicts (desirable but not required)
- Experience implementing process change
- Background in a large City or international law firm

- Able to work with minimal supervision and use initiative
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to deliver difficult messages clearly
- Confident building relationships across all levels of the firm
- Resilient, adaptable and able to manage competing priorities
