Commercial & Technology Senior Associate β CardiffFantastic opportunity to join a leading commercial practice in a forward-thinking team advising high-growth clients across fintech, SaaS, med-tech, digital platforms and spinouts. You\βll lead complex commercial and tech matters, mentor junior lawyers, and help shape the team\βs strategic direction.
What you\βll do:
Manage a broad portfolio of commercial/tech work: SaaS, licensing, outsourcing, joint ventures, APIs, procurement
Advise on data, IP, digital and regulatory issues across dynamic sectors
Build strong client relationships and deliver sharp, strategic advice
Lead and mentor junior colleagues, review work, and support development
Coordinate multi-stakeholder projects across internal teams
Contribute to business development, thought leadership and team culture
Stay ahead of legal, tech and regulatory trends to inform client strategy
What you\βll bring:
Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with 4-7+ years\β PQE
Strong experience in commercial/tech law across sectors like software, fintech, media, telecoms or life sciences
Excellent drafting, negotiation and client-facing skills
Commercial mindset with the ability to simplify complexity
Experience mentoring, managing multiple matters, and working cross-functionally
Bonus experience
Start-up, scale-up or in-house exposure
Regulated sectors (e.g. financial services, healthcare)
Data privacy, cybersecurity or regulatory knowledge
