b Overview /b p In this role you join a leading private property and agricultural team to handle high-value rural property matters and complex farm transactions. You will work across Taunton offices within a growing, top-ranked practice serving estates, farming families, investors and lenders. You’ll manage a varied caseload, from rural residential and listed properties to diversification projects and renewable energy issues, collaborating with planning, estate planning and litigation specialists. The position offers senior exposure, client contact, and clear opportunities for progression in a supportive, ambitious firm. /p b Responsibilities /b ul li Handle a broad range of rural and agricultural property matters, including high-value rural residential properties, listed buildings and unregistered land /li li Advise on complex farm and agricultural transactions involving bare land, working farms, large estates, diversification projects, renewable energy and nutrient neutrality issues /li li Manage the full lifecycle of rural property matters, including support payments, tenancies, rights of way, environmental issues and secured lending /li li Undertake landlord and tenant work under the Agricultural Holdings Act 1986, Agricultural Tenancies Act 1995 and Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 /li li Collaborate with colleagues in planning, estate planning and litigation as part of a sector-focused approach /li li Build strong relationships with long-standing clients including estates, farming families, investors and lenders /li li Develop strong client management skills while working on complex, high-value matters /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with 4+ years PQE /li li Strong academics and intellectual curiosity /li li Ability to manage own caseload with initiative, drive and organisational skills /li li Genuine team player with strong communication skills /li li Interest in agriculture and issues facing farming businesses /li li Developed client management skills and interest in business development /li li Desire to grow technical expertise and client-facing skills within a growing team /li /ul ul li initiative /li li drive /li li strong communication /li li agricultural property law /li li rural land /li li tenancies and landlord-tenant law /li /ul
