Salary: £55,000 to £75,000 (DOE)
A respected regional law firm is seeking a Housebuilding & Development Solicitor to join its specialist Development Land team in Chippenham. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with senior lawyers on high value residential development projects, gaining hands on experience across the full lifecycle of site acquisition, set up and disposal. The team is known for its collaborative culture, strong mentoring and high quality work.


The team handles significant development projects, including sites generating over 250 plot sales per year, with continued year on year growth.


Work Highlights Include:

  • South Chippenham expansion, outline planning secured for 1,000 units
  • Complex land assembly for a site in Bath
  • Promotion of a 200+ unit scheme in east Wiltshire
  • Purchase of a 300 unit mixed use scheme in Oxfordshire
  • Purchase of a consented 55 unit scheme in North Leigh for £5.7m
  • Acting for landowners in a major Promotion Agreement with Gleeson Homes


Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a solicitor with:

  • Experience within the housebuilding or development land sector
  • Strong technical and drafting skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Confidence working within a specialist, fast paced environment
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Motivation, organisation and a proactive mindset

  • Ability to work collaboratively with senior colleagues and wider team members
