We are seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer with at least 7 years' PQE to take on a senior position within a well established, multi office practice. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Chippenham team in a role that offers genuine scope to shape and grow the firm's employment law offering.
The Role
You will manage your own varied caseload of both contentious and non contentious employment matters, working with an enviable client base across the South West. The work will span the full range of employment law issues, including:
- Unfair and wrongful dismissals
- Employment Tribunal claims and drafting Tribunal documentation
- Settlement agreements
- Discrimination and whistleblowing matters
- TUPE
- Restructuring and redundancies
- Post termination restrictions
- Employment contracts, policies, handbooks and wider documentation
- Consultancy, non executive and director appointments and exits
- General day to day employee relations advice
- Corporate support to the commercial and corporate teams
This is a dynamic role with real progression potential. You will play a key part in business development, helping to expand the firm's employment law presence.
About You
You will be a confident and capable Employment Lawyer with strong technical expertise and a proactive, solutions focused approach. You must be able to demonstrate:
- Significant experience advising both employers and employees
- A strong track record in handling contentious and non contentious matters
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to deliver clear, high quality advice
- The drive to build relationships with clients, colleagues, introducers and contacts
- Experience supervising junior team members (advantageous but not essential)
