A respected and nationally recognised Private Client team is seeking a Trust and Tax Manager to join its Cheltenham office. This is an excellent opportunity to work with high net worth individuals, owner-managed businesses, and large clients, offering a broad and varied workload within a supportive and growing environment.
The Role
- You'll be responsible for managing a wide range of trust and tax matters, including:
- Day-to-day administration of trusts, liaising with trustees, beneficiaries, and professional advisors
- Preparing annual trust accounts, tax returns, R185s, and inheritance tax returns
- Preparing estate accounts and managing estate income tax reporting
- Handling TRS registration and CGT returns on residential property sales
Candidate Requirements
- This role is suited to an experienced professional with:
- Previous experience in a solicitors' firm, accountants' firm, trust company, or equivalent environment
- Knowledge of trust and tax administration, ideally including estates holding property, family company shares, and quoted investments
- Strong technical and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- A proactive and motivated approach to managing complex matters
