A respected national law firm is seeking a Corporate Solicitor with 0-2 years' post qualification experience to join its award winning Education team in Cheltenham. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your corporate career within a specialist, high performing team advising independent schools and educational institutions on complex, high impact transactions.
The Role
- Sales and acquisitions within the independent schools sector
- Charitable mergers, collaborations, and reorganisations
- Drafting and negotiating transaction and ancillary documents
- Conducting due diligence and supporting strategic projects
- Liaising with Boards of Governors, Heads, Bursars, School Groups and Proprietors
- Contributing to seamless matter management and excellent client service
- Supporting a collaborative, ambitious and sector focused team culture
Candidate Requirements
- 0-2 years' PQE with a foundation in corporate law
- Strong technical ability and high quality drafting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence to contribute to live transactions from day one
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational discipline
- A proactive, ambitious and team oriented mindset
- Commercial awareness and the ability to build trusted client relationships
- An interest in the education and/or charity sector (advantageous but not essential)
