NEW opportunity to join a leading 'Top 100' law firm in their tier 1 ranked banking and finance team. We are instructed by one of Cardiff's leading heavyweight law firms who are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Associate to bolster their thriving banking and finance team based in their central and impressive offices in Cardiff.
This tier 1 ranked banking and finance team advises various banks, financial institutions, and borrowers on acquisition, leveraged, syndicated, property investment, development, and renewable energy finance. Highly regarded in the sector, they offer expertise on both a regional and national level across a variety of industries.
Due to growth, they are seeking a Senior Associate (5+ PQE) to join them and the successful candidate can expect to:
- Represent clearing banks, institutional lenders, high-profile corporate borrowers, and public sector clients (e.g., registered social landlords, Welsh Government, Higher Education clients).
- Advise on banking and finance matters including funds, acquisition, and real estate finance.
- Collaborate with corporate, commercial property, and construction teams.
- Draft loan agreements (standard and LMA documentation), security documents, and intercreditor agreements.
- Manage transactions from credit sanction to drawdown.
- Mentor junior team members.
- Lead smaller financial transactions from drafting to execution and assisting on complex transactions.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified lawyer in England and Wales with 5+ years' experience in banking and finance at a leading firm. You will be proficient with LMA documentation, be commercially aware with exceptional technical expertise and communication skills.
