Overview
In this role you will advise High Net Worth clients on Wills, trusts, probate and succession planning while helping grow the Cardiff private client team. You will manage a varied caseload, supervise junior colleagues and contribute to regional business development. The position sits within a highly regarded national firm known for its private client practice and ambitious growth. You’ll have strong visibility in the Cardiff market and play a key part in shaping the office’s expansion and client service quality.

Responsibilities
- Manage a high-quality, varied private client caseload
- Advise HNW and UHNW clients on wills, trust creation/administration, probate, and tax planning
- Oversee inheritance tax planning and lifetime gifting strategies
- Mentor and supervise junior team members
- Support business development and networking to grow the Cardiff office
- Contribute to regional growth initiatives and client relationship-building
Key requirements
- Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer with ~5+ years PQE in Private Client
- Strong technical expertise across private client matters
- Experience handling complex matters independently
- Ability to supervise and mentor junior colleagues
- Commercial mindset with strong relationship-building and networking skills
- STEP qualified or working towards accreditation (desirable)
- Existing Cardiff or South Wales market connections (advantageous)
