Chadwick Nott are working with a leading Top 100 law firm who are seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor to join their highly regarded Employment team in Cardiff. This is a standout opportunity to join a top tier employment team and take on a significant and high profile role within a nationally recognised practice. Working from impressive central Cardiff offices with flexible hybrid working, you will handle a broad range of employment matters, with a particular focus on leading a major claimant group action in the Employment Tribunal. Alongside this, you will also support the wider team on selected respondent work for high quality employer clients. The team is known for its modern, collaborative culture and its commitment to delivering exceptional client service. You can expect exposure to complex, interesting work, genuine autonomy and strong support for your ongoing career development.
The Role
- Leading and managing a complex group action claim from inception through to resolution
- Developing and growing the firms claimant employment law offering
- Providing high level strategic advice to claimants, ensuring excellent client care
- Supporting respondent matters including unfair dismissal, discrimination, TUPE, restructuring, redundancies, settlement agreements and contractual issues
- Playing an active part in business development and networking
About You
- A qualified solicitor with ideally 3+ years' PQE
- A strong track record in claimant employment litigation, ideally including group or multi party actions
- Excellent advocacy, negotiation and case management skills
- Leadership experience, with the ability to supervise and develop junior colleagues
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy, varied workload
- A proactive, ambitious and forward thinking approach
