Location: Cardiff (with travel to other office locations).

Salary: £75,000 to £95,000 (depending on experience).

The Role

  • Managing a team of 12, with 6-7 direct reports, ensuring high standards of service and case management.
  • Driving business development and marketing initiatives to grow the PI offering across multiple office locations.
  • Recruiting, mentoring, and developing team members to ensure strong performance and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Handling a caseload of serious and complex injury claims, including brain injury matters.
  • Overseeing financial performance, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth.
  • Working closely with senior leadership to contribute to firm wide strategy and cross team collaboration.
  • Promoting a supportive, collaborative culture and sharing best practice across the Injury Services division.

Candidate Requirements

  • Has proven experience at Head of Department level or in a comparable senior leadership role.
  • Possesses extensive expertise in Personal Injury law, with a strong track record in high value and complex cases (brain injury experience preferred).
  • Demonstrates strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to support and develop a team of fee earners.
  • Brings a commercial mindset and confidence in business development and client relationship management.
  • Is passionate about delivering exceptional outcomes for clients while nurturing a high performing team.
  • Values collaboration, professionalism, and a forward thinking approach.
