The Role
You'll be joining a specialist, well structured team handling a broad range of defendant clinical negligence work. This is a role offering genuine responsibility, high quality work and the chance to contribute to the wider development of the practice.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing your own caseload of defendant clinical negligence claims, including complex and high severity matters
- Supporting senior colleagues on large scale, strategically important litigation
- Building strong relationships with key healthcare clients and delivering clear, commercially focused advice
- Supervising and mentoring junior fee earners where appropriate
- Playing an active role in business development, including training sessions, seminars and client engagement
- Contributing to the continued growth and profile of the Cardiff team
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical ability, confidence and a collaborative mindset. You will ideally have:
- 5+ years' PQE (or equivalent experience) in defendant clinical negligence
- Experience handling complex litigation and managing your own caseload
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted client relationships
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Experience supervising junior colleagues (advantageous)
