A bright Associate in Banking and Finance is sought to join a dynamic Banking and Finance team in Cardiff. The successful candidate will support major financial institutions and alternative lenders across a broad range of funding transactions, collaborating closely with corporate and property teams to deliver complex deals.
The role involves advising on acquisition finance, property finance, asset based lending, restructuring and refinancing, as well as preparing and negotiating facility agreements and related documentation. It also includes active involvement in transactions, client meetings and coordination with overseas counsel.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong knowledge of banking law, excellent drafting and negotiation skills, commercial awareness and a genuine interest in financial developments. They should be proactive, detail focused and confident working both independently and within a team.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise and make a meaningful impact within a growing Cardiff based practice. You will have, ideally, at least 2 years' PQE within a Banking/Finance team.
