I am currently working with a highly regarded international law firm that is looking to recruit an Associate (1-5 PQE) to join its growing Emerging Companies practice. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious corporate lawyer who wants to work at the heart of the innovation economy, advising fast-growth technology and life sciences businesses, founders, investors and venture capital funds throughout the business lifecycle. The team works with some of the most innovative and disruptive businesses in the market, supporting clients from inception through to scale-up, investment and beyond.
The Opportunity
Joining a specialist emerging companies and venture capital team, you will advise high-growth businesses and investors on a broad range of corporate and investment matters.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising emerging technology and life sciences companies throughout their growth journey.
- Acting on venture capital investments, fundraising rounds and growth equity transactions.
- Advising venture capital funds, angel investors, syndicates and institutional investors on investment activity.
- Supporting portfolio companies with ongoing corporate and strategic matters.
- Advising on transactions involving universities, research organisations and innovation-led businesses.
- Working on nationally and internationally significant transactions alongside colleagues across multiple offices.
- Building strong relationships with founders, investors and key stakeholders within the innovation ecosystem.
- Contributing to business development initiatives and helping to grow the team's profile in the market.
