Location: Bristol
Step into a leading international law firm (Top 50) and join a market-leading Derivatives & Trading practice. This is a chance to work at the forefront of global financial markets, advising buy-side clients on complex trading and derivatives matters. You'll be part of a specialist team that delivers end-to-end support across the lifecycle of trading and derivatives transactions, from drafting and negotiating ISDAs, prime brokerage agreements, GMRAs, and GMSLAs, to advising on regulatory developments like EMIR and MiFID II, helping clients cut through complexity with clear, commercial solutions.
Expect exposure to:
- Prime brokerage arrangements (cash & synthetic), FXPB, CASS protections, AIFMD compliance
- OTC, cleared and ETD derivatives, repos, securities lending, and custody agreements
- Multi-jurisdictional transactions and high-value restructurings
- Direct engagement with leading institutional clients and regulators
The role:
- Lead on drafting and negotiating trading/derivatives documentation
- Advise clients on regulatory and compliance challenges in a fast-moving market
- Collaborate with partners and colleagues across practice areas to deliver integrated solutions
- Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to business development initiatives
About you:
- 4+ years' PQE, trained and qualified at a leading firm
- Strong technical expertise in derivatives and trading (buy-side focus)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Commercially astute, confident managing sensitive, high-value matters
- Team-oriented
