A market leading Financial Regulation & Disputes team is seeking a Senior Associate (4‑6 PQE) to join its highly regarded Bristol practice. This is one of the UK's largest financial services litigation teams, acting for major clearing banks, building societies, digital banks, international lenders and payment service providers. The team handles exceptional quality work across complex, high value and reputationally sensitive disputes.

The Role

  • High value and complex banking litigation
  • Professional negligence claims
  • Investment litigation
  • Fraud, trade finance and receivership matters
  • Regulatory disputes and advisory work
  • Reputationally sensitive claims for major financial institutions
  • Supervising junior lawyers and supporting team development
  • Providing strategic, commercial advice alongside senior colleagues
  • Contributing to business development and client relationship growth
  • Assisting with legal updates and know how development

You will work with major UK and international clients including NatWest Group, Lloyds Banking Group and Nationwide Building Society.

Candidate Requirements

  • 4‑6 years PQE (applications outside this range considered with relevant expertise)
  • Strong experience running your own litigation caseload
  • Thorough understanding of the CPR and litigation process
  • Background in financial litigation OR transferable experience from insurance, property or commercial litigation
  • Experience supervising junior team members (desirable)
  • Excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills
  • Commercial awareness and enthusiasm for business development
  • Ability to build strong client relationships and understand client needs
  • A collaborative, team focused approach
