A highly respected national law firm is seeking a Procurement Litigation Solicitor to join its leading Dispute Resolution team. The successful candidate will focus primarily on procurement disputes, with the opportunity to support the wider department on complex commercial and public law contentious matters. The Dispute Resolution practice comprises 110+ lawyers handling a broad range of complex disputes for clients across both the private and public sectors. The team is known for its strong litigation capability and specialist sector expertise. Within this group sits a Band 1 Chambers ranked public procurement team, recognised nationally for its market leading work in procurement disputes. The team acts for both claimant bidders and contracting authorities across sectors including:
- Central Government
- Financial Services
- Technology
- Transport
- Healthcare
- Construction
- Defence
The team advises on all stages of procurement challenges, from pre action strategy through to High Court trials and appeals. They work closely with non contentious procurement specialists to deliver a seamless, full service procurement offering.
You will be involved in:
- Managing complex procurement litigation matters
- Advising on commercial and public sector disputes
- Supporting clients through all stages of procurement challenges
- Working collaboratively with market leading procurement specialists
- Handling a varied and intellectually stimulating caseload
- Contributing to a high performing, supportive team culture
This role is suited to an SRA registered lawyer with:
- Experience working on complex procurement disputes
- Broader experience in commercial and/or public sector dispute resolution
- Strong analytical, drafting, and problem solving skills
- Ability to manage a complex and varied workload
- A collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills
- Self motivation and a willingness to learn
- Experience supervising or developing junior colleagues (advantageous)
- PQE range: all levels considered
