A leading global law firm is seeking a Solicitor to join its renowned Major Injury & Casualty team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex, high-value defendant personal injury matters, acting for well-known insurers and household names. The Role
- Managing a varied caseload of catastrophic and major injury claims, including:
- Defendant catastrophic injury, Employers Liability (EL), Public Liability (PL), and Road Traffic Accident (RTA) matters
- Drafting pleadings, preparing client reports, and attending court hearings
- Conducting liability investigations, gathering evidence, and instructing experts
- Managing complex medical causation issues
- Prioritising work effectively to meet court deadlines and client service level agreements
- Building strong internal and external relationships to maintain and grow client networks
- Providing guidance and support to junior team members
Candidate Requirements
- 2+ years PQE in defendant personal injury work
- Technical expertise and genuine interest in EL, PL, RTA, or catastrophic injury claims
- Experience handling high-value files (either independently or assisting senior colleagues)
- Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a commercial environment
- Organised, proactive, and confident in managing complex matters
