A respected law firm is seeking an Employment Solicitor with 1-5 years' post qualification experience to join its growing Bristol office. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a developing team, handling a broad mix of contentious and non‑contentious employment matters while supporting a portfolio of clients across multiple industries.

The Role

  • Managing a varied caseload of employment matters, including:
    • Working with clients across a wide range of sectors on day to day Employment issues
    • Advising on disciplinary, grievance, redundancy, discrimination, TUPE and general HR queries
    • Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies, procedures and settlement agreements
    • Assisting on contentious and non‑contentious matters
    • Handling Employment Tribunal litigation, including drafting pleadings and preparing witness evidence
    • Participating in marketing and business development activities
    • Liaising with clients, colleagues and external professionals
    • Supporting a collaborative and ambitious team culture
    • Maintaining high professional standards and compliance

Candidate Requirements

  • We have two roles available:
    • Newly Qualified Solicitor
    • Qualified Solicitor with 3+ years' PQE
  • This role is suited to a solicitor with:
    • Strong knowledge of Employment law matters
    • Experience across both contentious and non‑contentious work
    • Strong drafting and negotiation skills
    • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
    • A proactive, client focused approach
    • Ability to manage multiple matters independently
    • High attention to detail and accuracy
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal IT systems
