A leading Top 100 national law firm is seeking an Employment Solicitor (1-3 years' PQE) to join its busy and expanding Employment team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high quality employer and employee matters within a supportive, collaborative and forward thinking environment. You'll gain exposure to a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious work while developing your technical skills, commercial awareness and personal profile within the team.

The Role

  • Managing a varied caseload of employment matters, including:
    • Advising employer and employee clients on dismissal, discrimination, redundancy, TUPE and disciplinary/grievance issues
    • Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies, procedures and settlement agreements
    • Handling Employment Tribunal claims from instruction through to hearing, including pleadings, witness statements and bundles
    • Conducting legal research and preparing clear, commercially focused advice
    • Supporting senior fee earners on complex, high value and multi-party disputes
    • Liaising directly with clients to take instructions and deliver excellent client service
    • Scoping and pricing work under supervision
    • Ensuring compliance with SRA principles, risk management processes and firm policies

Additionally, you will contribute to the team's growth by:

  • Assisting with business development initiatives and marketing projects
  • Drafting articles and supporting the production of thought leadership content
  • Building a network of clients, contacts and referrers
  • Spotting cross selling opportunities and strengthening internal relationships

Candidate Requirements

  • 1-3 years' PQE in employment law (contentious and/or non-contentious)
  • Strong technical, drafting and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and client handling abilities
  • Confidence managing files with supervision
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively
  • A proactive, motivated and commercially aware mindset
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
