A leading national law firm is seeking a Court of Protection Solicitor to join its growing Property & Affairs team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive and forward‑thinking team, handling a broad and rewarding caseload focused on vulnerable clients.

The Role

  • Manage a varied caseload of Court of Protection Property & Affairs matters, including:
    • Deputyship applications and ongoing deputyship management
    • Advising deputies, attorneys and family members on financial and property matters
    • Preparation and submission of Court of Protection applications
    • Drafting reports, witness statements and supporting documentation
    • Managing client finances, including budgeting, investments and property transactions
    • Liaising with the Office of the Public Guardian, local authorities and third parties
    • Ensuring compliance with court orders and regulatory requirements
    • Supporting a collaborative and client‑focused team culture

Candidate Requirements

  • 2+ years’ PQE with experience in Court of Protection Property & Affairs work
  • Strong technical knowledge of Court of Protection procedures
  • Excellent organisational and time‑management skills
  • A compassionate, client‑focused approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently
  • A proactive, solutions‑driven mindset
