A leading team is seeking a Solicitor with 4+ years' experience (including relevant pre-qualification experience) to join its specialist consumer and commercial claims practice. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of complex contract-based matters, supervise junior colleagues, and contribute to the continued development of a high-performing team.

The Role

  • Handling a wide variety of consumer and commercial contract claims, including:
    • Applying legal principles to a broad range of contract-based disputes
    • Taking full responsibility for case strategy and progression (with supervisory support where required)
    • Supervising junior casehandlers, including strategic guidance, complaint resolution and development planning
    • Working flexibly with a wide range of business partners and clients
    • Managing costs matters both pre-proceedings and through detailed assessment
    • Contributing to a collaborative team culture and supporting wider group development

  • Exceptional technical knowledge and demonstrable practical experience across consumer and commercial contract claims
  • Ability to take full ownership of cases and strategy
  • Experience supervising junior casehandlers
  • Flexibility in dealing with a wide range of clients and business partners
  • Experience handling costs matters pre-proceedings and through detailed assessment
  • Intellectual curiosity, commerciality and pragmatism
